September RS Activity

Service Project & Pie Party

7pm

at the Church

We have been informed that many people at the Chancellor Garden's Retirement Center are on fixed incomes and often run out of essentials such as toothpaste, deodorant, and other things. So we are going to be making hygiene kits to go to those that are needing them there. So if you would like to help, look for the sign up sheet on Sunday or e-mail me and I will let you know what you can bring.

We will also be having a pie demonstration provided by our very own Chloe Mautz!

There will be pie and a nursery provided!

PROMISE OF TOMORROW
The promise of tomorrw
And the hope of dreams come true,
A reminder of the childhood
That is still a part of you.
Th wonder of a miracle
From which this love began
There is so much found
In the touch of a child's hand.

"A TRIBUTE TO HANDS"

Big hands, little hands, hands that fit just right.

Warm hands, graceful hands, hands that squeeze too tight.
Grasping hands, shaking hands; an extension of your smile.
Clapping hands, creative hands, hands folded to pray.
Daddy hands, baby hands, hands that tickle in play.
Sharing hands, loving hands; an expression of your heart.
Working hands, healing hands, hands that wear a glove.
Skilled hands, talking hands, two holding hands in love.

Giving hands, helping hands; and impression of your soul.
Mommy hands, grandma hands, a gentle caring touch.
Father's hand, a guiding hand, teaching me so much.
God created all these hands; a manifestation of His love.

MY HANDPRINT
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am very small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing . . .

 I'll be all grown-up someday,
And all the tiny fingerprints
Will surely fade away.
So here's a real hand print
 Just so you can recall,
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small.

THESE LITTLE HANDS
These little hands can wave hello
Or put smudges on the wall.
they can fold in prayer, throw a kiss,
Or reach up and say "So tall!"
They will clasp your hand for an autumn stroll,
Or shape a dinosaur from clay,
But most of all, they will stay with you
When I'm grown and far away.

"HOLDING HANDS"
The flowers may have withered,
Their smell no longer sweet,
The presents may have shattered
into pieces at our feet.
The suit that you were wearing
may have shrunken in its girth,
the dress that once did sparkle
may no longer be of worth.
The pictures might be faded,
we might lose our wedding bands,
but none of it would matter
As long as we are holding hands.
