We had a such a nice evening last night at our RS Activity. We were able to gain lots of information about gardening, cleaning kitchens & bathrooms, beauty, and laundry. Refreshments were great too. Thanks to everyone who participated in any way!!

Easy Homemade shower cleaner
Supplies:
Dish Scrubber that you can fill with cleaner or a cheap spray bottle
Dish soap (Blue Dawn works best but cheap kind will do.)
Directions:
Fill scrubber (or spray bottle) half way with dish soap then fill the rest with vinegar (1:1 ratio).
Wait until the next time you're in the shower and clean the shower with the mixture. Lightly scrub down the walls and tub, toss or spray some water to rinse off the soap, you're done until next time. Or simply spray the ENTIRE shower (fixture and all) and walk away. Whomever showers next will end up rinsing it.

Homemade Fabric Softener
(Makes about 3 quarts for 75 cents!)
6 c. warm water
3 c. white vinegar
2 c. hair conditioner-pick a scent you like but pick something cheap!
essential oil, optional
In a large bowl, combine all three ingredients. Whisk gently or you will get bubbles. Pour into your container and measure out as you would with store bought fabric softener.

Homemade Shout Pre-treater
(Makes about 30 fl.oz.)
2/3 c. dawn dish detergent
2/3 c. ammonia
6 Tb. baking soda
2 C. warm water
Mix together all ingredients in a medium bowl. Use a funnel, pour into an old Shout bottle or other spray bottle.
To use, shake the bottle well because the baking soda does settle to the bottom. Spray as you normally would on a stain and then launder. Do not use on anything that will be washed with chlorine bleach due to the ammonia!

Beauty
Shaving Lotion
1 c. conditioner
1 c. shampoo
5 TBSP. Lotion
5 TBSP. Baby oil
Mix together and let sit for 1 hour before use.

Makeup Remover
1 c. water
1 1/2 TBSP. Baby shampoo
1/8 tsp. Olive Oil

Sugar Lips
1 TBSP. vaseline
1 TBSP. honey
2 TBSP. sugar
1/2 TBSP. maple syrup
Mix it all together.

Homemade Lip Gloss
2 TBSP vaseline
1 package Kool-Aid or dry drink mix
Mis all  together and it's all ready to use.
